INPALMS 2013 will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, the most comprehensive venue located in the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur, on 5-10 October 2013.

LANGUAGE
English is the official language of INPALMS 2013.
CLIMATE
Malaysia has an equatorial climate with year round temperatures averaging 31˚C. High humidity can be expected during the wet season which includes the entire duration of INPALMS 2013.
CURRENCY
Malaysian Ringgit is the official national currency. 1 USD is approximately MYR 3.20.
All major credit cards are accepted.
VISA
Visa Requirement by Country
NOTE:
  • No visa is required for U.S.A. citizens visiting Malaysia for social, business or academic purposes (except for employment).
  • No visa is required for stays of less than one month for nationals of all ASEAN countries except Myanmar nationals. For a stay exceeding one month, a visa will be required, except for Brunei and Singapore nationals.
  • For nationals of Israel, visas are required and permission must be granted from Ministry Of Home Affairs.
  • For nationals of Republic of Serbia and Republic of Montenegro, visas are required without permission granted from Ministry Of Home Affairs.
  • Nationals of countries other than those stated above (with the exception of Israel) are allowed to enter Malaysia without a visa for a visit not exceeding one month.

LETTER OF INVITATION TO INPALMS 2013
Participants requiring a formal letter of invitation, to enable them to make their arrangements, should contact the Secretariat.  It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa and does not imply a commitment from the congress organizers to provide any financial support or scheduling of presentations.
LIABILITY
The congress secretariat and organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants and accompanying persons. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

ABSTRACT TOPICS
Abstracts will be classified under specific categories for review and program purposes. Presenters are requested to select the topic under which their abstracts belong.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION RULES
Online abstract submission will open on 15 May 2013.
All abstracts must be submitted the conference website only: www.inpalms.orgNOTE: Abstracts submitted by email, fax or post will NOT be accepted.
Abstracts that have been presented in previous conferences will NOT be accepted. (For verification)

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Abstracts must be submitted on or before 15 August 2013.
The online submission system shall be closed on at 24:00hrs, GMT. Abstracts submitted after the system closure will not be accepted.
  
ABSTRACT ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION

Notification of acceptance/rejection will be sent via email to the corresponding author only on or before. If you have not received the email notification by, please contact the secretariat at secretariat@inpalms.org.

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Video presentation abstracts:
  • Videos must be recorded on a CD in any of the following video formats: MPEG2 PAL, QuickTime  PAL (Hi-resolution)
  • It is not possible to receive video files through the Congress’s website or by e-mail. The author must have the original CD or USB file to be used during the oral presentation.

Language
All abstracts must be submitted in English, including the title, abstract text, author names, affiliations, figures and graphs.

Correspondence
Please provide the following:
  • Presenting author’s contact details, including full mailing address, office hours phone number and email address and fax number
  • Name(s) of presenting author and co-authors: first name(s) or initials of first name(s) family name (e.g. Jason Wang or J. Wang)
  • Affiliation details of all authors: department institution/hospital city state, if applicable country.

 Structure
  • The abstract title should be written in initial capital/lower case form, not all capital.
  • The abstract text for the original article should include: 1) background/aims 2) methods 3) results and discussion and 4) conclusions. For case reports, they should include an introduction and case description.
  • Word limit: 300 words including acknowledgement, maximum 250 words is allowed if any figures/ tables/ graphs are included in the abstract.
  • All figures/ tables/ graphs included in the abstract must be submitted in JPG/ BMP / GIF format with a maximum width of 9cm, and resolution up to 150 dpi. Only ONE figure/ table/ graph is allowed in one file and maximum two files are allowed for each abstract.
  • Please note that these figures/ tables/ graphs may be resized to fit the final printed material.
  • Do not include references in the abstract.
  • Do not include keywords in the abstract.
  • Abbreviations should be spelled out, in parenthesis, in its first use in the abstract.

Format
  • All abstracts submitted will be automatically edited according to the INPLAMS 2013 submission format. It is the responsibility of the author(s) to review the submission and avoid any typing error on the abstract.
  • Use italics only when appropriate (e.g. for the name of genus and species).
  • To avoid character corruption, please use only Times New Roman or Symbol font.
